Who is the woman you admire most and why?

umm i dont know who i really admire. theres certian things in everyone that i admire, but they are equally balanced out by the things that are so pleasent about them. i would probly say mrs. hue then. she is the sweetest person you will ever meet in your life. i've never heard her get mad at anyone, and she will give you a late to class note for anything. haha
a women that i highly admire is jane fonda. political activist, feminist,liberal, writer,former fashion model, fitness guru and since 2001 a proclaimed christian women. yes, her protest of the vietam war might have in some opinions hurt more than help she has protested the iraq war and violence against women. i believe she is a strong and brave women. being an actress, fitness guru and model she was crtiqued and critized every day. Even though judged she stood up for what she believes with confidence and has lead major impacting protests which have impacted thousands of lives. one of the hardest concepts to grasp in life is to be yourself and not to care or worry about what others think of you. Jane in my eyes is definitaly someone to look up to when is comes to self confidence. i believe all women and men should have the confidence to be themselves cause the people who stand up and donot conform to the world are the people who change the world and make it a better place. Even if what you do or believe in is considered weird or different, i say dont stop and go for it. if there is one thing in life i could take away it would be the judgement that restricts people from making a difference. like jane fonda and many toher liberalists express what they want to express and live life to the fullest no regrets, i believe that bad and good things/events happen in life for a reason. now many people have conformed to a society because of fear or failing, where if you look at it if something does or doesn't happen it is obviously for a reason and not just random. i strongly believe that. which also goes along with the theroey that we must live life to the fulliest and be ourselves. i believe the world would be a much better place if the human race could understand and live by free nature.
a women that i really admire in my life would have to be oprah. i know that sounds like super cheesy or whatever but seriously, she is one of the most powerful women in the world. she gives away so much to people and charity. Oprah also has been the world only black billionaire fo three straight years. she owns major media companies and has her own tv show, xm radio station, website, magazines, and soon she will be getting a new tv show called Oprah Winfrey's Big Give. Plus she played roles in films including, Charlottes Web, emmanuel"s gift, Vrothers of Borderland, and more. This women is soooooo sucessful and she became sucessful all on her own. She helps people get fulfill their own dreams. Also, she tries to express her own feelings on the subjects of her shows. Like she said that she is opposed to rap lyrics that marginalize women... this shows that she can stand her ground. she wants to be apart of what charaties or events she gives money to as opposed to just contributing money, she wants to contribute her time too. She once said, "i really became frustrated with the fact that all i did was write check after check to this or that charity without really feeling like it was a part of me." Those are the reasons why i believe that Oprah is a greatly sucessful women and i admire her.
i admire my sister chelsie. she always stands up for what she beleives in. she cares s much about the world. shes in leadership class thats like asb at her school torry pines. she always supports what i do. we are very close she is like my beas friend. we always have so much fun together. she always stand up for what she beleves in. me and her dont eat meat, we dont wear blood dimonds(well ovi) and we dont drink starbucks becasue they use little kids to make the coffee. i try to be lliek her but i kinda fail at times. i love her soo much and she is such a stroong and great person
Well this is a hard question becuase there are MANNNYY people who i admire. But the one who i admire the most... i would have to say my sister katie. she is always there when i need her and can help me with anything. She helps me study for tests and quizzes and loves helping me. she has great grades, and graduated with a four.two and got accepted and attended SDSU for her freshman year. This summer she is moving to new york and is going to do great! she got an intership for the buisness "moore capital" or something fancy like that. she is the best sister anyone could ever wish for. she is my best friend! my TRUUEE best friend. and... when i say best friend, i mean it... its not a label, its something true.
The purpose of this blog is to create a semi-discussion forum so that we might learn from one another what it means to be a godly woman. By God's grace and His grace alone may we strive to be the women He has created us to be!
